Lessons I Learned After My Home Was Broken Into

I never thought it would happen to me, but in the last year my home was broken into not just once, but twice! As you can imagine, after the break-ins, I dedicated a lot of my time speaking to home security specialists and doing my own research online about how to keep my home safe from intruders. I want to share an important tip first: Never rely on only one method of home protection. You want to deter criminals from entering your yard (a fence); secure your home with the right doors, locks, and alarm system; and always have your valuables in a safe even if someone does get into your home. I have learned so much that I decided to make a blog to share what I have learned so far and document what I learn in the future.
